Newt (real name Rebecca Jorden) is an eight year old survivor of the colony on LV-426. The entire population becomes prey for the aliens, but she manages to survive by hiding. When Ellen Ripley and a team of marines arrive, she's rescued and forms a close bond with Ripley.
Newt is going to be entering the village of Haurvatat just after she's fallen into the water as she, Ripley, and Hicks attempt their escape. Just as she turns and sees the alien behind her, everything goes white, and she arrives in the game
